The Eighth Month: The Month of Circumcision

Happy Rosh Chodesh Cheshvan!

Cheshvan is the eighth month, and Wow! after the festival-packed seventh month of Tishrei, it is safe to say that our joy is magnified and extended. YAHUAH is truly the greatest!

The last and final celebration was last week’s Simchas Torah. It was a culmination and explanation of our rejoicing over The Almighty, blessed is He, and all the bountiful provisions for us last year and of this new year of 5780! These Festivals, all fully explained in the Torah, are actually a springboard for the rest of the year and, really, our lives!

This is the eighth month - so, who knows eight?

Eight are the days of circumcision.

Circumcision is a good kind of preparation for our Dedication which will occur next month in Kislev.

In order to be dedicated to anything, you must first let go of all the things that would hinder your complete dedication.

The Torah, YAH’s Commands, not only determines our commitment and dedication, but it outlines and guides our steps to the achievement thereof! When there is a true commitment to the Almighty, then trust, belief, hope, and goodness will follow.

The ninth month is coming and so our deliverance and birth. Let’s make the most of being circumcised which will lead us to more dedication to our Father and Sovereign. He loves us, for His kindness is forever and His truth to every generation.

So, whether you are a Baby Boomer, Gen X, Y, or Z, or just a cool dude or dudess, know that He made you and you belong to Him!!!

Have a happy Cheshvan, and thank YAHUAH for Life! He deserves our all and more, so praise Him at every turn.

Shalom, and may He watch over your going and returning.

Shalom from our house to your home!

Love Michael, Ruth, and the Family!
